Good Will Hunting (1997)

I watched this movie today and it's absolutely beautiful.

"It's not your fault."

Amazing. I cried and felt that it's being said to me. I still don't believe it 100% but I will do my best to lean into it.

I want to heal. There's so much I want to do in this lifetime if I have the opportunity and time.

I hope I won't let myself get in my way.

My healing only started two years ago but I have so much more work that I have to do. Can't undo what have been done to me for 30 years in just two years. Continuous journey and longevity healing are what I am looking forward to.

Also, how frigging admirable that this movie was written and acted out by both Matt Damon and Ben Affleck in their TWENTIES?!

They began writing the script while Damon was at Harvard in the early 1990s. The final script was sold and greenlit in 1994–1995.

• When they started writing it (around 1993):
  • Matt Damon: ~23 years old
  • Ben Affleck: ~21 years old
• When the film was released (1997):
  • Matt Damon: 27
  • Ben Affleck: 25

They both acted in the film, with Damon playing the lead role Will Hunting and Affleck playing his friend Chuckie. Damon also won the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay (shared with Affleck) at age 27.
